(Page 1) Dear son i now seat myself to write you a few lines
to let you know that we are all well hoping that thease few lines
will find you the same i received your letter the first of
November and was glad to hear that you was well but was sorry
that you could not come hone this fall but we understand that you
are about to get married and we hope that you will get a nice
woman and we should be glad to have you send us her name we do
not blame you for getting married is you can better your self and
we should be glad to have you come and see us and bring her with
you as soon as you can for we want to see you very mutch indeed
and we want you to tell Samuel to
come and see us as soon as he can for we want to see him and his
family very mutch Daniel is not at
home we expect he is on the rail road we have not heard from him
this two months uncle Simon is dead
and Simon has got home from sea John has got home he did not conclude to
stay
(Page2) we all send our love to you and all of Samuels family and want to see you very
much indeed we wish you good luck and prosperity in your getting
married and we want you to write as soon as you get this without
fail.
