Well my family was coming and I was so very excited.
We have waited for this for a long time, I wonder what they will look like? Will they like me? Will we
be able to communicate? So many questions, and I was so nervous. The evening arrived and we met them at
the Halifax Airport, all eleven of us, and a huge sign that said, Welcome to Canada.
The very first time that I layed my eyes upon my cousins I just knew that they were part of me. We had such a wonder
week, a very short
week, but enought for us to develope a strong bond between us that will last a life time.
The meeting was all
that I had hoped for and more, much more. The love that my family has for us and I for them, is special. Very
intimate and special.
All I can say is that they are family, small words but well meant words.
I have been trying so hard to learn how to write in Norwegian so that I can converse more with them. Its
not so hard, if your heart is in it like mine is.
All I know is that one day I want to go to Norway and see them, all of them. And one day we will. I just want to
say one
special thank you, that goes to my cousin Arne Limkjaer who, between the two of us, helped this arrangement
happen.
He is my cousin and one that any person can be proud of knowing, thanks cousin I love you.
