GRACE
God in His great power
Spoke out energy
And with His finger stirred it
And made a galaxy
Galaxy upon galaxy
He placed them here and there
He stretched out space between them
And still had more to spare
He made the depthless black hole
Unfathomable to me
Comets, suns and moons and stars
And more than eyes can see
And every star that moves above
In an ordered place you'll see
It hanging there for that's the place
God wanted it to be
In all of God's great universe
There was one galaxy small
He zeroed in upon it
And chose it over all
One insignificant planet
He took from all the rest
He put His signature on it
And chose it to be blessed
He covered it with fields and streams
And mountains standing tall
He carved out deepest oceans
And rivers great and small
He planted it with grass and flowers
And vines and herbs and trees
He burried in it minerals
And filled it with energy
Now all of
God's creation
Was just fingerwork you see
It took the long bared arm of God
To make the likes of me
From the dust of earth God made a man
And breathed in his breathing space
He covered him with glory
And filled him with His grace
From man God made a woman
Then came the awful fall
But the Voice of God was there to see
That grace would cover all
And the cleansing blood that fell to earth
On a hill called Calvary
Still reaches out in power
With grace for you and me
