To asking why cows say moo
To getting my first bad grade
Daddy was there then too

To when I used to coo

Dreams of cuddly wuddly things
Fill your head with thoughts
As you lay there softly sleeping
I can't believe I've got....

Such a precious little girl
Your smile can melt my heart
I thank the Lord for you
And pray we'll never part

Sometimes you act so silly
Your giggles and baby talk
I still remember clearly
The day you learned to walk

Do you remember being scared
On your first day of school
Or the first time you dove
Headfirst into the pool

I whispered Daddy's with you
No need for you to fear
I kissed you on the cheek
And wiped away your tears

As you grow up now it's my turn
To be so scared and afraid
I want so much to shelter you
Last night I sat and prayed

Please Lord watch my baby
Let no harm come her way
Wrap her in your arms
And protect her every day
