Died 2:39 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at her residence in Baker. She was
60 and a native of Shamrock, Texas. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs,
10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Religious services at Victory Life Temple Church, Dave Park Road, Denham Springs,
at 2 p.m Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Swearingen, the Rev. Owen McManus,
the Rev. L.B. Townley, the Rev.
Percy Arnold and the Rev. James Tullier. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Baker. Survived by husband, the Rev. Joe
Hammack Sr., Baker; a daughter, Elaine Reynolds, Nashville, Tenn.; four stepdaughters,
Paula Swearingen, Cynthia Lott, Sharon and Judy Walls, all of Baker; three sons,
David and Samuel Townley, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Phillip Townley, Suffolk,
Va.; a stepson, Robert Joe Hammack Jr, Baker; three sisters, Bessie Wright, Tyler,
Texas, Lena Sanderson andRuth Cantrell, both of Shamrock; a brother, Charles
Ackley, Paris, Texas; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces
and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Dicey Ackley. Pallbearers
will be Marcus and Kelly Walls, Robert Hankins, T.J. Tarver, Austin Cantrell
and Bud Harvey. Honorary pallbearers are Allen and Anthony Walls, Matthew Reynolds,
Jonathan Townley and Jacob Myers. She was a member of Victory Life Temple Church,
director of Christian Education and Music and served as principal of Victory
Life Temple Academy.

Elaine Reynolds, Nashville, Tenn.; four stepdaughter, Paula Swearingen, Sharon
Walls, Judy Walls and Cynthia Lott, all of Baker, La.; three sons, David Townley,
Samuel Townley, both of Atlanta, Ga.; Phillip Townley, Suffolk, Va.; one stepson,
Robert Joe Hammack, Jr., Baker, La.; three sisters, Lena Sanderson and Ruth Cantrell,
both of Shamrock, Texas; Bessie Wright, Tyler, Texas; one brother, Charles Ackley,
Paris, Texas; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces
and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Victory
Life Temple in Denham Springs, La. with the Rev. Richard Swearingen, Rev. Owen
McManus, Rev. L.B. Townley, Rev. Percy Arnold and Rev. James Tullier. Burial
will be in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Baker, La. Pallbearers will be Marcus
and Kelly Walls, Robert Hawkins, T.J. Tarver, Austin Cantrell and Bud Harvey
and honorary Pallbearers are Allen and Anthony Wells, Matthew Reynolds, Jonathan
Townley and Jacob Myers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Seale Funeral home in Denham Springs, La. Her Social
