Our mother stepped quietly into Heaven on the evening of July 29, 2007. She was born on December 19, 1923 in Smithfield, Utah to Preston Hosea Ackley and Mary (Nelson) Ackley, one of their five children. Thora graduated from Smithfield High School in 1941. On December 21, 1947, in Superior, Montana, she married Daris "Mac" Magee. They lived in the Olympia area for over 40 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thora loved to read and sew, but her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Mathew Magee, of Pocatello, Idaho; three daughters, Sheryl Davis, of Wenatchee, Washington, Cynthia Munn, of Vashon Island, Washington, and Tamara Stayton, of Olympia, Washington; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nisqually Ward Building, 9341 4th Avenue N.E., Olympia, Washington.
