CORTLAND- Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Bush funeral, home for Mrs. Alice Ackley Holmes, 69, wife of William Holmes, who died Sunday at her home at Richford. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. Born on Oct. 25, 1878, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Charles and Frances Buckley Ackley. She had lived in Freetown for 20 years where she was a member of the Methodist Church. Recently she moved to Richford. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Noble of McGraw; Mrs. Harold Boyce of Syracuse and Mrs. Alton Metcalf of Groton; three sons, Russell Holmes of Marathon, Duane Holmes of McGraw and Leonard Holmes of Richford, and 21 grandchildren. She was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, Cortland , New York.^33,34
