He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Ackley retired after 23 years as a machinist from NCR Corp. He was a World War Il Army veteran.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Botkin Funeral Home, Waverly, with Rev. Jjmmie Williams officiating.. Military graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Merritt Post 142 of Waverly in the Arkoe Cemetery, near Elm Grove, Ohio. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
