(VICOM) Dorothy Irene Eblin, 63, Lake Dr., died Saturday, Feb. 6, at Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus.
Her funeral was held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Eblin was born in Xenia Oct. 5, 1924, to George and Emmarean Brakeall Ackley. She was first married to Carl Hutchison who died in 1951 and later married George Eblin who died in 1975.
She is survived by five daughters Mary Mauller of Springfield, Justina Repp of Union, Shelva Levering of Tuscon, Ariz.. Vicky Frey, Chillicothe, and Mary Hickson of Palmetto, Fla. two sons, Ralph Brewer with the Air Force in the Philippines and Keith Brewer of Fort Mead, Fla.: nine grandchildren: one great-grandchild; six sisters, Helen Atwell of Darbydale, Edith Hutchison, Chillicothe, Frances McMasters, Cameron, W. Va. Rosemary VanSickle, Columbus, Opal Strausbaugh of Chillicothe and Nancy Brown of Waverly and three brothers, Ralph Chillicothe, Harold of Springfield and Charles Ackley, of Gardenia, Calif.

Mrs. Eblin was preceded in death by daughter Charlotte Marie, sister Ruth Cain and two brothers Kenneth and George Ackley.
Mrs. Eblin was a retired food service worker at Chillicothe VA Medical Center.

He was killed in an automobile accident on August 25th, 1951 on old Rte. 23 where the steak house use to be. He was only 29 years old and left his wife with 6 children, Vicky Lynn, being the youngest at 3 months old and a month pregnant with, Mary Martha. The accident was caused by speeding and drunk driving. The accident was on the front page of the Chillicothe Gazette.
He was a singer and sang with his parents, and brothers at Church on Sundays. Later he joined a band called the Buckeye Boys and they sang on the radio. He played a guitar.

Thursday. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Hutchison, 381 East Second street, appealing for official aid, told Deputy George Harris the child was stricken with an unknown ailment early Thursday. They explained to the deputy that they had tried to find a doctor, but had been unable to obtain one apparently because of Thursday noon closing of doctors' offices. Deputy Harris began a telephone check of doctors, but while the telephoning was in progress, the mother, who had the child in her arms, crie4 out that the baby was dead. As others comforted the grief-stricken parents, Deputy Harris managed to contact Dr. Glen Nisley, who came and pronounced the child dead. The remains were removed to Ware's Funeral Home. Burial service was held at 2 P.M. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery. Only survivors are the parents, Carl E. Hutchison and Dorothy Ackley Hutchison. The child was born Aug. 4, 1945. All the story wasn't told, My mother told me that Dr. Nisley had refused to come to my sisters' aid when they phoned him the first time, WHY? because that was his day off, that is why they went to the police. Also Charlotte had an older sister living at the time, Mary Emmarean. Our baby sister's nickname was "Cookie" She has Death Cert #1 She was buried on 30 Nov 1945 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Ross , Ohio.1
