and Tressa Strausbaugh, all of Chillicothe; her eight grandchildren, Tony amd
Megan Clary, Michael (Cathy) Hurtt, Kendra Stern, Dan (Erica) Stern Jr., Jamie
Wright, Tee and Wren Beverly; two great grandchildren, Toban Byrd and Serenity
Umphries; two sisters Helen Atwell of Cloumbus and Nancy (Purl) Brown of Hallsville;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tonya; five sisters, Rosemary
VanSickle, Frances McMasters, Ruth Cain and Edith and Dorothy Hutchison; and
five brothers, Kenneth, Harold, George, Ralph and Charles Ackley.

Miss Strausbaugh was born Nov. 2, 1963. in Chillicothe to Kenneth M. and Opal
J. Ackley Strausbaugh.
In addition to her parents, surviving are two sisters, Tami Stern, Chillicothe,
Tressa Strausbaugh, at home; niece, Kendra Michelle Stern; a nephew, Dan Michael
Stern, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Strausbaugh, Charleston
Pike; paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Pearl (Nellie) Farnham, Frankfort; maternal
grandmother, Mrs. Ocie Schaefer, New Carlisle.
Miss Strausbaugh was a 1982 graduate of Chillicothe High School where she was
a member of the varsity softball team where she received All-Ohio Captial Conference
honors both her junior and senior years. She was a member of the Big Wheel Softball
team and an employee at Hirsch Fruit Farm.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Chillicothe High School gymnasium with
the Rev. Dale Gilbert officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home.
