Mrs. Daisy E. Gilifillan, 71, Pleasant Valley Road, died unexpectedly 2:30 p.m. April 28 in Medical Center Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1915, in Ross County to Carey F. and Elsie Deeter
Ackley. On April 25, 1936, she married William H. Gillfillan, who died July 5,
1982.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Philip W. (Betty) Putnam; and two grandsons, Eric and Brian Putnam, all of Frankfort; a sister, Mrs. Marie Neal. Circleville: two brothers, James H. and Arthur F. Ackley, both of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gillfillan was a retired cafeteria worker of Union-Scioto School. She was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church and Ross County Senior Citizens. She was active in Girl Scouts for many years.
Graveside service will be 9:30 am. Thursday in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, with Rev. Don Clarke officiating. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may he made to Walnut Street United Methodist Church Building Fund.
