Speakman, 68, of Chillicothe, died 7:30 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2005 at her residence following a short illness.
She was born November 23, 1936, in Fayette Co., to Alvin Howard and Leona Francis Kelley Ackley. On November 7, 1955, she married Ronald L. Speakman who survives.
In addition to her husband, Ronald, and mother, Leona, of Urbana, OH, she is survived by daughters, Cheryl L. (Kim) Bowling, Rhonda L. Speakman and Karen S. Speakman, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brad A. and Travis L. Bowling, both of Chillicothe; sisters, Betty Betts, of McArthur, Dixie Burt, of Columbus, and Jacqueline (William) Kelley and Joyce (Bernard) Brown, both of Urbana; a brother, Ronald (Martha) Ackley, of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Zachary. She was predeceased by her father, Alvin Howard Ackley.
Naomi was an avid bowler in the Shawnette League at Shawnee Lanes.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 in Ware Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
She was buried in Floral Hills Cemetery, Ross , Ohio.⁵⁰²
