Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully Thursday,
March 20, 2008 at Brian's House. Age 80 years The daughter of late Ray and Myrtle (Moore) Ackley was born January 23, 1928 in Midland. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Mrs. Obermiller retired from the Michigan House Restaurant as a waitress, enjoyed working in her yard and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Joyce) Obermiller, Dennis (Mary) Obermiller and Nancy (Jim) Martek Bay City, her grandchildren: Denny, Tara, Jim, John, Corey, Steve, Kali and Alyssa, her great grandchildren: Alyson, Natalie, Emily, Meghan and Tyler, her brother: Dale (Pat) Ackley, two sisters-in-law: Ernestine Ackley and Florence Ackley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband: John F. Obermiller Jr., her brothers: Kenneth, John, Roy and Don Ackley, her sister: Betty Darnell.
Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Obermiller will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
