Idora Ackley, 78, of Rte. 2, Pioneer, Ohio, passed away late Sunday evening October 20, 1957 in the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon. She was born near Delphos, Ohio, on February 2, 1879, the daughter of Peter and Malinda (Shope) Shock. She resided in the Ransom and Addison areas of Hillsdale County, Michigan, before coming to this vicinity 15 years ago. Surviving are her husband John Ackley; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Fulton of Coldwater, Mich.; Mrs. Cora Williams, Wyandotte, Mich.; and Mrs. Eugene Jones of Hudson, Mich.; two sons, Charles, Prattville, Mich.; and John B. of near Pioneer; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three sisters and five brothers. Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Thompson Funeral Home hre with the Rev. Dale Keiser, pastor of the wesley Methodist Church at Bird Lake, officiating. Burial will be in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Ohio
