George Ackley Jr., 46, of 512 Town St., Waverly, died at
10:02 a.m. Friday in University Hospital, Columbus, following
an extended Illness.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ware
Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Styers officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A retired carpenter for Old Capital General Contractors, Mr. Ackley was born June 10, 1930, in Xenia to George and Emmarean Breakall Ackley. On May 12, 1966, he married the former Mary Dennis, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Georgann, and two stepdaughters, Tracy and Cathy Hinton, all at home; one step-son, Paul Hinton, Belleville, Ill.; two stepgranddaughters; four brothers Harold and Kenneth, both of Springfield, Charles, Gardena, Calif.. and Ralph, Chillicothe; and eight sisters, Mrs. David (Helen) Atwell, Grove City, Mrs. Francis (Frances) McMasters, Cameron, W. Va., Mrs. Gary (Rosemary) Vansicle and Mrs. Ruth Cain, both of Columbus, Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Brown, Waverly, and Mrs. John (Edith) Hutchison, Mrs. Dorothy Eblin and Mrs. Kenneth (Opal) Strausbaugh, all of Chillicothe.
Mr. Ackley was a member of the Chillicothe First Church of he Nazarene.
