Harold W. Ackley, 77, of St. Rt. 138, Greenfield, died 2:28 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 7, 1993, in Ross County Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was born
Oct. 23, 1916, in Austin to Howard and Eva Marie Rinehart Ackley. On Nov. 15,
1947, he married Nellie Nace Ackley, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Margaret Ackley,
Frankfort, Thomas and Ruth Ackley, Washington, C.H.; two daughters and sons-in-law,
.Linda and Frank Brown, and Jenny and Tim Howland, all of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren;
3 great-grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Eva Rinehart Ackley; .a sister, Pauline Sharritts,
Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ackley was a 27 year employee of Dyna Corp. in Washington C. H. and retired
from Hillsboro Manufacturing as a machinist. He was a U.S. Army World War II
veteran, and a member of Greenfield Eagles, VFW and Amvets.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1993, at Murray
Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Rev. Robert K. BLaine. * Officiating.. Eagles
-. service will be 7 p.m., and VFW service will be 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at the
funeral home. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield. Visitation will
be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
