He was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Xenia, OH., a son of George and Emmarean (Breakall) Ackley. He was a lifelong resident of the Clark County area. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He retired from the Morris Bean Co. in 1979 and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America No. 6931. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy J. (Hockett); one stepdaughter, Deborah Anway, Spfld.; three brothers, Harold, Spfld., Ralph, Chillicothe, and Charles, Gardenia, CA.; seven sisters, Mrs. David (Helen) Atwell, Grove City, OH., Mrs. Frances McMasters, Cameron, WV., Mrs. Gary (Rosemary) Vansicle, Columbus, OH., Mrs. Peurl (Nancy) Brown, Waverly, OH., Edith Hutchinson, Mrs. Dorothy Eblin, and Mrs. Kenneth (Opal) Strausbaugh, all of Chillicothe; one step-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Ackley Jr., and one sister, Ruth Cain. His body was taken to the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home where friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held in the memorial home at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Frank Ponce officiating. Interment will be in Garlough Cemetery

Services for Mrs. Marga Ackley, 55, of 2050 Clifton av. will be held at 10 am. Monday in the Littleton Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Kay M. Glaesner, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Friends may call in the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Garlough Cemetery.
Mrs. Ackley died at 5 :30 am. Thursday in Mercy Medical Center

Friends and family may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the memorial home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating.
