Ltjg Edward Ackley FRITZ²⁹ was born about 1937.³⁵ He served in the military between 1960 and 1965 in US Navy.³⁵ He died on 10 May 2002 in Chicago, Cook , Illinois.³⁵ His Obituary appeared in the The Des Plaines Daily Herald on 13 May 2002 in Des Plaines, Cook , Illinois Edward Ackley Fritz formerly of Arlington Heights Funeral services for Edward Ackley Fritz, 65, of Chicago, formerly of Arlington Heights, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Born Aug. 10, 1936, in Arlington Heights, he died Friday, May 10, 2002, at home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Mr. Fritz was an employee of Motorola in Schaumburg. He graduated in 1958 from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill., where he was also a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. After college he served in the Navy from 1960 to 1965 with the rank of lieutenant junior grade. Edward is survived by his children, Edward George Fritz (Denise LeBeau), Vivienne (Vincent) Heard, Karl Thomas Fritz, Elena Francine Fritz and Bonnie Fritz; grandchildren, Daniel, Marissa and Gillian Heard; sister, Laura K. Fisher; and friend and former wife, Karen Fritz (nee DeMore). He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Edward and Laura (nee Ackley) Fritz. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Glenkirk Respite Care, 701 Harlem Ave., Glenview, IL 60025.
