He was born Feb. 12, 1951, in Manistique, Mich. to Nettie (Burns) Ackley and the late Harland Ackley. Bob served in the U.S. Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam and Germany. On Aug. 12, 1994, he married Barbara Rose. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for Dan Skaleski Trucking. Bob was a member of First Faith Ministries in De Pere.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara six children and a son-in-law, Ryan, Kristen, Deana and Jason, Manda, Ronda and Bobbie Sharon three grandchildren, Violet, Nathaniel and Taylor three brothers, Paul, Dale and James four sisters, Anna May, Sharon, Adeline and Norma nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harland.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Germfask, Mich.
The Ackley family would like to express their gratitude to all those who helped during Bob's illness.
A memorial fund has been established in his name. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Germfask, Schoolcraft , Michigan.²¹² He served in the military Vietnam War in the US Army.^135,212
