LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Floyd Earl Ackley, identified by police as a 31-year-old escapee from Southern Michigan Prison at Jackson, was captured Friday in adjoining Clinton County in the climax to a manhunt that involved most law enforcement agencies in the Lansing area.
Ackley was serving a term for breaking and entering when he escaped the Jackson prison last May 1, police said, adding, that the Lansing man will be charged with assault and battery as the result of an early morning Lansing fight that set off the manhunt Friday.
