Doris (Chum) ACKLEY - Of Flint, age 78, died Saturday, December 9, 2000 at Genesys
Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Thursday, December 14, 2000
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Major Ralph Bukiewicz officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to
the family. Visitation 4-9PM Tuesday and 11AM-9PM Wednesday and 10AM Thursday
until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Ackley was born in Flint,
Michigan on June 30, 1922 and was a resident of Flint all of her life. Mrs. Ackley
was employed by Hurley Medical Center for 19 years. Surviving are 3 daughters,
Patricia and husband Lloyd Thomas and Sandy James, all of Flint, Pauline and
husband Juan Gutierrez of Grand Blanc; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold
Ackley, Sr.; son, Harold, Jr. and 3 sisters.
