JACKSONVILLE - Arie Ackley, 86, of Jacksonville died Sunday, Dec.
24, 2000, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1914, near Carmi, the son of Ephraim Juel and Onea O'Neal
Ackley. He married Edith Weasel in 1938; she preceded him in death in 1989.
Mr. Ackley retired from the Jacksonville Developmental Center, where he was employed
as a supervisor in the dietary department. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle
in Jacksonville.
Survivors: two daughters, Donna (husband, Edwin) Bruington of Jacksonville and
Rosemary Blake of New Haven; two sons, Robert Ackley of New Haven and Donald
(wife, Carol) Ackley of Roodhouse; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Burial: Elmwood
Cemetery in Greenview

died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday at Modern Care Convalescent Facility, Jacksonville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home, Jacksonville,
with burial in Jacksonville East Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Alvin Coop of Lincoln and Forrest "Butch"
Coop of Jacksonville; four daughters, Mrs. Max (Edna) Correll of Lincoln, Mrs.
