Obituary: EASTON -- Edith Harp, 81, of Easton died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Born Dec. 19, 1917, in Petersburg to Jewel and Omea Ackley, she married John J. Harp on Jan. 26, 1937, in Petersburg. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Merle of Petersburg and Ronald of Auburn; two adopted sons, Jimmy of Waterloo and Marty of Mason City; one daughter, Betty Jo Imperial of Bridgeman, Mich.; one brother, Arie Ackley of Jacksonville; one sister, Arnola Willis of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and professional quilt maker.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Styninger Funeral Home in Mason City. The Rev. Robert Paddack will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
She was buried on 27 Nov 1999 in Elmwood Cemetery, Greenview, Menard , Illinois.⁵⁸
