He was a driver for Sysco Foods in Jamestown for 19 years and currently was employed by BMT Trucking in Okemos, Mich., as a driver for the past five years. A member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Jamestown and American Legion Post 149 in Falconer, he was an avid golfer and bowler who deeply loved his family. Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Bray) Ackley, whom he married Jan. 11, 1969; two daughters, Melissa A. and Kristin M. Ackley, both of Jamestown; two brothers, Robert Ackley of Houghton, La., and Donald Ackley of Severn, Mass.; one sister, Sandra Churray of Greer, S.C.; and one grandson.
