He was the husband of the late Bertha I. (Norton) Andrews and the late Caroline M. (Gibree) Butler Andrews. He leaves four sons, Clyde R. Andrews of Barre, George C. Andrews of Templeton, Ray E. Andrews of Gardner and Joseph R. Andrews of Baldwinville; six daughters, Myrtle F. Thibeault and Janice I. Quirion, both of Athol, June Cote of Gardner, Karen A. Geer of Philadelphia, Pa., Edna Mae Burgess of Syracuse, N.Y., and Mary A. Martioski of Fitchburg; a sister, Rena E.N. Lewis of Athol; 32 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Born in Cavendish, Vt., he was the son of the late Ray V. and Frances M. (Ackley) Andrews.
Mr. Andrews was a member of Chestnut Street Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747, the Deep Sea Club and the West End Beagle Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chestnut Street Methodist Church, 161 Chestnut St. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Spina Bifida Association, care of Nancy Baron, for the benefit of George C. Andrews II, 39 Westland St., Haverhill, 01830. Lamoureux Funeral Home, 142 Nichols St., is directing arrangements.
