Martha Ellen Holloway passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, in a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Martha Ellen was born Jan. 20, 1926, the first child of Daniel and Martha Ackley of Middleton. She grew up in the Ustick area where she met and married her husband of almost 57 years, Charles Holloway. From the first time they met there was never anyone else for either of them. They were totally devoted to each other and to their six children - Kay, Roy Dean, Dan, Darrell, Denny and Kevin. Mom was a firm believer in strong family ties and she always loved to have her family around her. She taught us to love God and respect others. She was a strong role model for her entire family and her many grandchildren. Mom was a member of the Ustick Baptist Church. She attended schools in Ustick and graduated from Meridian High School. She always loved reunions and especially loved the Old Ustick School reunion every year where she caught up with old friends. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Dan and Hermund Ackley. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Larry Paulson and their three daughters; sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Barbara Holloway and their two daughters, Dusty and Sharon Holloway and their three children, Darrell and Mary Holloway and their three children, Denny and Alice Holloway and their two children; son, Kevin; and sister, Karen Seamans. She was so proud of her family, and we were so proud of her. We will miss her every day of our lives. The family suggests donations to a charity of your choice because although Mom loved real flowers from the garden she thought money could be better spent helping someone
