GROTON, CT - Yvonne LaRose Ackley, 64, of 114 Newtown Road, Groton died at her residence early Monday morning.

She was born March 3, 1937 in Groton the daighter of Joseph and June Havens LaRose.

Mrs. Ackley was married to Theodore Ackley, Jr. in Groton on May 7, 1955.

Mrs. Ackley had dedicated her life to her family and helping those less fortunate .

She attended Bishop Seabury Church and the Poquonnock Bridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Ackley was a graduate of the Robert E. Fitch High School..

In addition to her husband of 46 years she is survived by 2 sons; Theodore Ackley and Lon Ackley both of Stonington, CT, 3 daughters; Valerie Ackley of Groton, Yvette Ackley of Stonington, and Margaret Ackley – Clark of Stonington, 1 brother; Joseph LaRose of Summerville, SC, 1 sister; June Nunes of Summerville, Sc, 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton. Private burial will be in the Smith Lake Cemetery, Groton. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4- 7 PM.
