OGDENSBURG - Patrol Inspector Robert L. Lassett of 908 Pickering st. is being transferred to Omaha, Neb., and will be promoted to the rank of inspector at his new post Nov.. 3. He has been with the Immigration and Border Patrol 10 years, seven of which have been spent in Ogdensburg.
He entered service in World War II in November, 19412, and served three years with the military police as assistant provost marshal at Camp Shanks.
Lassett is also a first lieutenant in the 314th Military Police Battalion, in charge of the criminal investigation section of the Army Reserve.
