Lawrence B. Sterling. Portland-born salesman of Schenectady, N. Y., died Thursday in a Passaic, N. J.. Hospital after a brief illness.
. He was, born. Nov. .4, 1903, the son of Walter B, and Laura E. Ackley Sterling of Peaks Island, and was educated in South Portland schools.
He was employed, as a salesman for the greater part of' his 'life by a New York men's furnishings concern. Shortly. After World War II he worked here for two, years ' for the Marshall Engineering Company. He moved to Schenectady last March.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Bennett Sterling, a daughter. Patricia, and two sons, Bradford and Richard, all of Schenectady: two brothers, Leon D. and W.Stanley, Brooklyn. N. Y.. and three ' sisters, Mrs. Charles E.Davis. Somerville, N. J., Mrs. Kenneth P. Mathews, South Portland, and Mrs. Albert E. Steiz, Madison. N. J.
The funeral will be at Newark Saturday.
