She was born in Chester on April 8, 1924, the daughter of John S. and Sabra (Ackley) Murray, and graduated from Chester High School in 1942.
Mrs. Lovell was self-employed as a seamstress for many years.
She enjoyed making winter clothing for the Santa Claus Club in Springfield until her retirement.
Survivors include her children, Duane Amsden of Rockingham, Donita Benner of North Springfield, Ronald Amsden of Chester, Hubert Lovell, James Lovell, both of Springfield, Charles Lovell of Westminster and Suzanne Lovell of Hartland; a brother, Roger Murray of Wilder; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip "Irvin" Lovell in 2003; four brothers, Leon, Kenneth, Harold and Edwin Murray; and three sisters, Vivian Spaulding, Elizabeth Lord and Dorothy Larkham.
The celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at First Baptist Church of Chester. Burial will follow in Plain Cemetery in Weathersfield.
