12/23/02 - Beverley J. Ackley, 64, of 307 Buffalo St., formerly of Ellington, died at 9:29 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 21, 2002) in her home.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Edith Cowen Brink.

She attended Falconer schools and later earned her General Equivalency Degree. In earlier years she had been employed by the Clark Box Co., as a crossing guard by C.C. Ring Elementary School and later by Lutheran Social Services as a dietician.

She was a devoted hardworking housewife and mother throughout her life. She enjoyed camping with her family, fishing, gardening, her plants, cooking, crossword puzzles, crocheting and her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Burton E. Ackley, whom she married Nov. 5, 1955, in the First Baptist Church, Falconer; a son, Robert I. Ackley of Jamestown; a daughter, Lisa Louise Allison of Forestville; four grandchildren: Ashley Ann Ackley of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Eric, Tara and Jennifer Allison, all of Forestville; four brothers: Philip Brink of Huber Heights, Ohio, Edward Brink of Fairborn, Ohio, Thomas Brink of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Larry Brink of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a sister, Linda Crisci of Sinclairville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Brink.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. James D. Bailey, pastor of the Park United Methodist Church, Sinclairville, will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Ellington.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
