Care Center, died there Friday, June 18, 1999, after a long illness. Services:
11 a.m. Monday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where friends may call after
10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Bruce Ough will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park
Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Lingo and husband Clive of Loveland, Colo.;
and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James.
Peggie was born March 15, 1920, in Okawville, Ill., the daughter of Charles and
JoAnn Ahring Bode. She married Warren C. Ackley on Aug. 23, 1943, in Cedar Rapids.
He died in 1989. Peggie was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, PEO,
Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and a founding member of Elmcrest Country Club.
Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation, American Diabetes
Association or the American Cancer Society.
