He was born Sept. 19, 1913, in Marble Rock, Iowa.
He moved to Vancouver in 1942. He was a shipyard steamfitter.
Mr. Ackley was widowed by Myrtle D. in 1990.
Survivors are his sons, Jerry L. of Vancouver and Donald D. of Oak Harbor, Wash.;
daughter, Peggy J. Sinclair of Vancouver; brothers, Myron of Marble Rock and
Herman of North Hollywood, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild.
