Of Stockbridge, age 83 years, passed away Thursday, September 15, 1994
at his home. A life long farmer, he retired as a field operator for the
ASCS office in Mason after 20 years, a life member of the Stockbridge
Masonic Lodge No. 130 F&AM where he held all the offices, member of the
Farm Bureau, member of the Capital Area Trailer Club and the Wolverine
Levelers.
He attended the Stockbridge First Baptist Church, had driven school bus
for over 25 years for the Stockbridge Schools and enjoyed fishing and
hunting.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine; three sisters, Alma
Fowler, Alta Wilcox and Muriel Wild. He is survived by his wife of 58
years, Mildred; two sons, William (Arvalene) of Chelsea, Dale
(Elizabeth) of Jackson; one daughter, Jean (Clifford) Johnson of
Webberville; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ackley is at the Caskey Funeral Home, Stockbridge where services
will be held Monday, September 19, 1994 at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Jay
Thiebault officiating. Interment Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge.
Masonic Service, Sunday 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American
Heart Association. Visitation Saturday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
