Viola E. Kane, 90, of Fowlerville died Oct. 9 in Lansing.

She was born Dec. 24, 1911, in Fowlerville to Pierson and Julia (Ackley) Sidell. Mrs. Kane was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Kane on Dec. 5, 1975.

Mrs. Kane graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1930. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Brieden of Grosse Pointe; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Betty Kane of Fowlerville.

Mrs. Kane was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Kane Jr.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Agnes Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Karl Pung officiating. The remains of Mrs. Kane will be placed in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Dillingham-Liverance Niblack Funeral Home in Fowlerville.

Memorials to Mother Teresa House or Ingham Medical Hospice are suggested.
