Age 84, died Sunday November 4, 2001 at the Whitmore Lake Convalescent Home. He was born October 22, 1917 in Stockbridge, MI the son of Joe and Hazel (Ackley) Bush. Norwood retired from Rockwell International after 34 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chelsea and was a veteran of WW 11 serving in the US Army as a Sergeant in the Medical Corps. He married Phyllis A. Potter in Mason, Michigan on December 31, 1946, and she survives. Also surviving are his children Diane (Tom) Bishop of Pinckney, Patricia (Richard) Miller of Los Vegas, Nev., Norwood Jr. (Carol) Bush of Clinton, Janice (Michael) of Brighton, MI, and Ronald (Mary) Bush of Dexter; ten grandchildren; his sister Vivian Ahrend of Mason, MI, his brother Darwin (Marian) Bush of Farmington, MI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Myra Schroeder of Stockbridge in l989 and his brother Paul Bush of Stockbridge in 1988. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 8, 2001 at 11:00 AM at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, 901 North Main Street, Chelsea with the Rev. Richard E. Dake officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea. Expressions of sympathy may be made to First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM.
