LEXINGTON -- James H. Ackley Sr., 87, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Lexington
Court Care Center after a long illness.
He was born June 20, 1916, in Shelby, Ohio to Harry and Lalai Stroup Ackley.
He retired from Sears where he worked as a salesman for 33 years. He attended
First English Lutheran Church. James was a member of Mansfield Masonic Lodge
#35, F. & A.M. and was a Past Master. He also helped with the Renaissance
Theatre Organ Group where he was active in rebuilding, playing, giving tours
and concerts.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Margaret I. Main Ackley; two sons and a daughter,
James Ackley Jr. and Robin Martin of Lisbon, Ohio, Karen and Larry Robertson
of Severn, Maryland, and George and Janet Ackley of Johnstown, Ohio; six grandchildren,
Andrea Callum, Christine Ackley, Amy Vance, Scott Ackley, Tara Gibson and Bonnie
Robertson; seven great-grandchildren, Dirk, Zakory, Dray, Violet, Brenna, Rebekah
and Logan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday,
May 6, from 7-9 p.m. with Masonic services held at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services
will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with calling one hour prior
to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church or the Renaissance
Theatre.

MANSFIELD -- Margaret I. Ackley, 87, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Lexington
Court Care Center.
Born July 11, 1918, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late George C.
and Iona Sliffe Main.
An area resident most of her life, Margaret was employed as a private duty nurse
and was a charter member of the L.P.N. Association of Ohio. She was also a member
of First English Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Robin Ackley
of Lisbon and George and Janet Ackley of Johnstown; a daughter and son-in-law,
Karen and Larry Robertson of Danville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Andrea Callum,
Christine Ackley, Amy Vance, Scott Ackley, Tara Gibson and Bonnie Robertson;
seven great-grandchildren, Dirk, Zakory, Dray, Violet, Brenna, Rebekah and Logan;
a sister, Ruth Ridgeley of Cuyahoga Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years,
James H. Ackley Sr. on May 7, 2004.
Friends may call Sunday, Nov. 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of
Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at
the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Paul Larson. Burial will follow in Mansfield
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church.
