Lois ACKLEY and Sgt William PATTERSON Jr were married about 1787.^2,3 Sgt William PATTERSON Jr³ (son of Living and Living) was born about 1760 in Salisbury, Litchfield , Connecticut.^3,4 He died about 1816 in Watertown, Jefferson , New York.³ He served in the military Revolutionary War in Col Webb's Connecticut Militia, Capt Whitings.³ William Patterson (1760-1816) turned out in the first call for troops and was in Wadsworth's brigade at Long Island and White Plains. He enlisted, 1777, for the war and fought at Germantown, Brandywine, Quaker Hill, and Springfield. He was born in Stratford, Conn.; died in Watertown, N. Y.
William Patterson served as fife major and sergeant in Capt. Whiting's company, Col. Samuel B. Webb's regiment of Connecticut militia.
