Homer H. Ackley, 94 , of Melbourne, Fla., formally of the Triple Cities area, died Friday, August 15, 2003 at the Holmes Regional Hospital, Florida. He was a resident of Mariner Health Care Center of Melbourne. He is survived by his 3 sons, Lester and Holly Ackley, Cleveland, Ohio, Donald and Cherie Ackley, Palm Bay, Fla., and William and Eileen Ackley, Newark Valley, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Homer was a retiree of the Endicott Johnson Corp. West Endicott, N.Y., and an Army veteran of WWII.
A memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church in Berkshire on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 3 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery in Spencer, N.Y. Services provided by Davis Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, Fla.
