Mr. Ackley, a resident of Molalla, died May 20, 1994, of a heart attack at age
74.
He was born May 5, 1920, in Union and had lived in the Portland area for 45 years.
He married Inez Larkin in 1939. He was a truck driver for Crown Zellerbach Corp.
from 1949 until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of the Molalla Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Lou Meyers of La Grande, Donna
Mann of Molalla, Doris Bem of Colton, Johnnie Buys of Albany, Vivian Cathlamet
of Salem, Peggy L. Ackley of Anchorage, Alaska, and Sally Stiglbauer of Canby;
sons, Harold Jr. of Nyssa, Ken of Milwaukie and Roy of Molalla; five sisters;
one brother; 35 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
