2. Hannah ACKLEY appeared in the census 1850 & 1855 in New York. She was born on 2 May 1832 in Laurens, Otsego , New York.^2,3,4,5,13 She died about 1904.¹⁴ She was buried in Young Hickory Cemetery, Troupsburgh, Steuben , New York.¹⁴

Hannah ACKLEY and Abram W BATES were married on 17 Oct 1854 in Otsego , New York.^3,13 Abram W BATES (son of Abram N BATES and Living) was born about 1828/29.^3,13 He was living in 1855 in Troupsburgh, Steuben , New York.³ living with father inlaw Samuel Ackley He died on 19 Mar 1862 in Fairfax Seminary Hospital, Virginia.¹³ He was buried in Young Hickory Cemetery, Troupsburgh, Steuben , New York.¹⁴ He served in the military Civil War.¹³ farmer when President Lincoln issued a call for volunteers to defend the Union. He cast his lot as a soldier with Co. H, 86th N.Y.V.I., as a private. With his command, he served faithfully until 1862 when he entered Seminary hospital, Washington, D.C., where he passed away March 19, 1862.
