Marguerite was born Marguerite Flora Bush on July 31, 1918 in Ellensburg, Wash., to Robert and Bonita Bush. She married Everett Ackley, her second husband, on April 3, 1946 in Seattle, Wash., who preceded her in death in 1995. She lived in the Rogue Valley for the last ten years.

Marguerite Flora Ackley was a homemaker who, during World War II, modeled and had the photographs featured in Life Magazine. She worked at Boeing from 1942 to 1943, building "Flying Fortresses." She served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corp. (WAAC) from 1943 to 1945.

She enjoyed crafts, bowling, gardening, and volunteering with the developmentally disabled.

Survivors include her first husband, Robert Kirchner; three sons, Daryl Ackley of Eagle Point, Ore., Duane Ackley of Fall Creek, Ore., and Robert L. Kirchner of Mercer Island, Wash.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her second husband; brothers Jack and Robert; and a sister, Juanita.
