He appeared in the following News Article from the The Globe on 4 Feb 1881 in
Atchison, Atchison , Kansas U S Ackley to-day commenced an action
in the District Court against Henry Whittaker, a Justice of the Peace of Center
township, for $5,000 damage done him by false imprisonment. Ackley was brought
before Whittaker a few months ago charged with disposing of mortgaged property,
which is the same thing in the eyes of the law as actual imprisonment. Whittaker
is a wealthy farmer. Waggener & Everest are Ackley's attorneys.

the 1880 census were correct Uriah would have been born ca 1828. Also given
his actual birth of 1847 the 1880 entry for Henrietta could not be right as well
because he would have been 13 at her birth. He served in the military Civil
