was born March 20, 1894, in Paw Paw, the daughter of Andrew and Elvira Shepard
and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of the East Side Community
Club, Kalamazoo. On Sept 11, 1920, she was married to Hugh J. Ackley, who passed
away in 1964. Surviving are 2 sons and one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Barbara) Williams
of Galesburg, Gordon Ackley of Kalamazoo, Charles Ackley of Plainwell; 4 grandchildren;
one sister and 2 brothers, William and Theodore Shepard of Paw Paw, Mrs. Ruth
Treace of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Service arrangements will
