HEAVENER — T. R. “Dick” Ackley, 76, of Heavener died Sunday, April 15, 2001, in Poteau. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Heavener with burial at Memorial Park in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Frances Benton of Woodward, Okla.; two stepsons, Larry Wright of Fort Smith and Bob Long of Texas; four sisters, Dorotha Boyington and Phyllis Studebaker, both of Mannford, Okla., Ruth Garrison of Cleveland, Okla., and Marcia Coleman of Tulsa; 10 stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
