Mrs Harold Linscott's residence at RR1, Edison, will be the setting May 29th
for an open house observance from 2 to 4 PM in celebration of the golden wedding
anniversary of her parents, Mr and Mrs Autmer Ackley of Indian River Mich, formerly
of Athens.
Mrs Ackley of Lottridge, Ohio, and Flourine Smith, daughter of Michael and
Elize Smith of Vanderhoof, Ohio, were married May 22, 1916, at Parkersburg, W.
Va.
They have six children, Mrs Richard Daily of RR4, Athens, Mrs Linscott, at
whose home the celebration is planned, Capt John Ackley, Heidelberg, Germany,
Maj. Autmer Ackley Jr of Honolulu, Hawaii, who is serving in South Vietnam, Dr
Charles D Ackley of Dayton and Mrs John Frazier of Lansing Mich. There are 21

MOUNT GILEAD- Mrs Flourine (Smith) Ackley, 76, of Mount Gilead died early today
in Mansfield General Hospital. Born in Athens County, she lived here 10 years.
Mrs Ackley was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors are her husband, Autmer Ackley; 3 daughters, Mrs Ethel Dailey of
Athens, Mrs Marie Linscott of Edison and Mrs Lena Frazier of Orlando, Fla,; 3
sons, John of Moline, Ill., Autmer Jr. of Annapolis, Md. And Charles Ackley of
Dayton.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs Faye Beatty of Indian River, Mich.; a brother,
Francis Smith of Springfield; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a. m. Friday in Craven Funeral Home here with
the Rev. Cecil Cox officiating. Burial will be in Carthage Cemetery at Athens.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Thursday. She was buried
in Carthage Cemetery, Carthage, Athens , Ohio.4
