Ray Everett Blue, 73, of Dunbar Road, RR1 Prospect died at his home at 4:1a.m. today. He had been ill two years.
He was born in Prospect March 18, 1892, and was the son of Simeon and Emma Smith Blue. He was a retired carpenter and was self-employed and also worked for the Adams Construction Co. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect and the American Legion, Verne I. Mounts Post 368.
On Jan. 15, 1925, he married Erma B Ackley, who died Sept. 12, 1943. On June 23, 1958, he married the former Effie Drake in Delaware. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Gerald L. of RR6, Marion; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Midlam of RR5, Marion, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. Paul E Dobberstein will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. Monday. Erma Blanche ACKLEY and Ray Everett BLUE had the following children:
