My Greatgrandfather was William Henry Probasco, born in Lee County,Iowa,on March 21,1843. He served in the Union Army for a little over 3 years and was discharged in 1864 He married Elizabeth Ann Cool in Unionville, MO (Putnam County)on August 2, 1866. His father was named Peter Probasco and married Sarah Stroud. Peter came from New Jersey. I don't know where he married Sarah. But somehow they were in Iowa when William Henry was born. I don't know where Peter was born. I would like to find that out William Henry & Elizabeth were buried in the Unionville cemetery in 1916. They died 6 months apart. I wonder if you have heard of this branch of the tree? Regards, Alice

At the age of 39, discovered that my parents were not my natural parents. It was not an adoption, but perhaps an abduction of Love....raised by a wonderful mom & dad. Have since met my birth mother of which I am 3rd child of 8 and then later met birth fat er and his 8 children. I am now helping a wonderful friend locate her birth parents and that is why I have visited your sight as her birth father's name is Robert Paulsen, and her birth mother's name is Kathleen Paulsen, as they actually married before sh was born and then given up for adoption. My husband's great uncle John Henry Tate and he was married to Eliza Probasco. They had two children that I know of Emma Ann Tate who married a William Tate and then a Henry Vogel and is buried in Coulterville, Randolph Co., Illinois. Ron Cox (my cousin)turned me on to your web page, and Minnie Cox was my mother. I am interested in any additional information that you have on the Cox, Wilkie and Slusher families. Genealogy is a part-time hobby with me, but I have traced the Bedwell's ack to the 1600s.
