Three mascots visited Troop 810 during the 1996 - 1997 year.
We had Cocoa the pound puppy, who belongs to Brownie
Troop 3168 in New Jersey, at our troop in December and took her
caroling and to a pizza party. She also helped decorate cookies!
We had a cute little doll
named Sydney visit us, too. We love having mascots! Sydney went
singing with us at a local care center and went to Internet
classes with us. She is from Junior Troop 828, Delaware-Raritan
Girl Scout Council.
We also had Henrietta Hippo. Henrietta attended
our overnight adventure, "A day in the life...A celebration of Girl
Scouts and Girl Guides around the globe." She also got her first boyfriend!
Henrietta is from Kenosha, Wisconsin., Troop 334
Mascots for the 1997- 1998 year so far are:
Kapai the Kiwi from New Zealand! This little bird sure flew a long way!
Kapai came with a book and information about New Zealand. While Kapai was with
us, we made a photo book that showed things about St. Helens. We also played games
and went to the park. Kapai visited Portland, Oregon and also Longview, Washington.
Minnie the Dalmation from Florida was also with us in October. She got along
well with Kapai and didn't chase once! Minnie went to the technology center
to work on homepages and also went on a photo shoot around town with the troop.
December found troop 810 with mascots enough for a party! We visited local care centers for caroling. Note Felicity Brownie in this troop picture. She is perched atop the reindeer antlers in the back (on Mandy's head)
Felicity Brownie came all the way from Australia! She is having fun here at the troop pizza party. Megan put on some goofy glasses and showed Felicity a real good time! Felicity belongs to the McLaren Vale Brownies and Wattle Guides in South Australia.
Bay-B, a sweet crab from Maryland, enjoyed climbing up the Christmas tree and watching the Little Mermaid. She also helped hang bird feeders. Bay-B comes from Troop 1477 in Crofton.
Hop-To-It from Kansas liked playing with computers and seeing new rabbit friends Annabelle and Vinnie Barbarino Bunny. Hop-To-It is part of Troop 5414 at Fort Leavenworth.
