Forlorn Dreamers

As she sits beneath the tree,

She wishes upon a lone star.

That she would no longer be alone

Or dream of things away & far.

As he sits looking out his window,

He looks to a star he’s seen before.

He wishes he hadn’t done that night

What he knows he’s done before.

Two lovers sit beneath a tree

Looking up at a friendly star.

The same star that’d brought them together,

And let them know what was away & far.
